This article is the quick hub for how buying works on igitems and what to do if something goes wrong. Use it when you’re placing your first orders or need a fast refresher on protections and key systems.

When this applies

  • You’re new to igitems and want the “how it works” flow.

  • You need to know when to open a dispute and how refunds work.

  • You’re buying higher-risk products (especially accounts or high-value orders).

How buying works (short)

  1. Pick an offer and review the details (what you get, delivery method, delivery time).

  2. Pay on igitems. Your payment is held by the platform until delivery is confirmed.

  3. View your orders to find the purchase.

  4. Receive the delivery in the order chat/order page instructions.

  5. Confirm delivery only after you received the exact product/service in full.

If there’s a problem (Disputes)

  1. Explain the issue in the order chat (what’s missing/wrong and what outcome you want).

  2. Open a dispute from the order page to freeze the funds while it’s handled.

  3. Work with the seller in the dispute chat. If unresolved after ~24 hours, escalate to igitems.

Key points

  • Do not confirm delivery early. Confirmation is usually final and can remove refund options.

  • Disputes may be unavailable in the first ~15 minutes after purchase.

  • For Guarantee claims, you generally have at least 72 hours after “Delivered” to open a dispute.

  • If igitems requests information on an escalated case, respond within 7 days.

  • Keep communication on-platform. Off-platform communications with the seller may not be accepted as evidence and forfeit the protection offered by igitems.

About igitems

igitems is a marketplace for game accounts, items, currencies, and services. Payments are held by igitems and only released after delivery is confirmed, with a dispute system available if something goes wrong.

igitems Guarantee

The Guarantee is your protection for late, incomplete, or incorrect delivery. You use it by opening a dispute so your payment stays held while the issue is resolved.

Issue reporting & Disputes

A dispute is the formal way to report an order issue and keep the transaction protected. You and the seller first try to resolve it; if needed, you can escalate for igitems mediation.

Refunds & chargebacks

Refunds are handled through the dispute system based on delivery status and evidence. Bank chargebacks are discouraged because they slow resolution and can lead to account restrictions, especially if used after receiving delivery.

Verification

Verification helps prevent fraud and may be required for specific categories (like accounts) and higher-risk or high-value activity (often around $400+). Completing verification early helps avoid delays when buying.

Buying accounts

Account purchases require extra care: verify the account matches the description and ensure you receive full control (including email access where applicable) before confirming delivery.

Playboost & service requests

For boosting/leveling services, you can submit a request describing what you need and receive offers from sellers, or purchase a service directly when available. Only confirm completion once the full service is delivered.

IG+ Subscription

IG+ is an optional membership that can reduce certain fees and provide prioritized support handling. It’s most useful if you place orders frequently. Set up through your account settings under Loyalty.

Reward system (Crowns)

Crowns are loyalty points you earn from actions like completing orders, confirming delivery, and leaving reviews. They can be used for rewards when the Crown Shop is available under Loyalty in your account settings.

Service fee

igitems charges a service fee to run the platform and support systems. When an order is refunded, the same percentage of the service fee is automatically refunded to the payer.

Do / Don’t

  • Do: read the offer details carefully and keep all communication on igitems.

  • Do: open a dispute quickly if delivery is late, incomplete, or not as described.

  • Do: escalate after ~24 hours if no agreement is reached or the seller is unresponsive.

  • Don’t: confirm delivery before you have the exact product/service in full.

  • Don’t: move a trade to Discord/WhatsApp/email.

  • Don’t: start a bank chargeback as your first step; use disputes and support first.
