On igitems, sellers can receive two types of additional payments from buyers, each with specific guidelines and purposes:
Add-on Payments:
Purpose: These are sent in exchange for additional services beyond the original scope of the order.
Payment Handling: Sellers receive the same percentage from add-on payments as they do from the order, with no net fees applied.
Gifts:
Purpose: Gifts are sent purely as a reward or token of appreciation, and no services should be provided in exchange.
Payment Handling: Sellers receive a net of 95% from gift payments, with no net fees.
Risk Note: Gifts are not protected by igitems. In the case of a chargeback initiated by the buyer, the gift amount is automatically deducted from the seller’s balance.
Guidelines for Receiving Additional Payments
Transaction Process: Buyers can send additional payments through the order page. These payments appear as a separate order, which is marked as completed upon purchase.
Misuse Consequences: Accepting gifts in exchange for services is strictly prohibited and is considered a major offense. This can result in disciplinary actions including warnings or immediate suspension, depending on the severity of the violation.
