At Igitems, we expect both sellers and buyers to approach the dispute resolution process with honesty and cooperation. We understand that disputes can be challenging as each party may naturally want to assign blame.

Rating Seller Cooperation

To recognize sellers who handle disputes respectfully and aid in resolving issues with minimal confrontation, we have implemented a system to rate seller cooperativeness, per our Dispute Guide:

  • Resolved with the buyer: Disputes resolved directly with the buyer will automatically receive a cooperation rating of 5.

    • Note that requesting a buyer to close a dispute before the issue is resolved will substantially lower your score received by our team. Make sure to follow our Dispute Guide!

  • Escalated Disputes: Disputes that require escalation to Igitems will be rated by our dispute resolution team upon conclusion.

  • No Disputes: Sellers who have had no disputes in the last 6 months automatically receive the highest cooperation rating of 5.

Impact on Community Rating

The dispute rating combines with reviews from your buyers to form your overall community rating. It's important to note that your dispute rating has a smaller impact on your community rating than the average ratings received from buyers.
